BRUCE LEE'S JKD - ADULT PROGRAM

"JKD is something that no serious martial artist can ignore" Bruce Lee, 1973

Over three decades before the advent of "Mixed Martial Arts", a revolutionary art training process was developed by the legendary Bruce Lee. This art advanced the principles of "totality" in martial art training with "realistic" and scientific training methods, and "complete freedom" for the individual practitioner. Lee named the cutting edge martial art training process he developed "Jeet Kune Do." This training process forms the foundation of what is taught at NY Martial Arts Academy.

Often imitated yet never duplicated, Jeet Kune Do is not simply another form of Karate or Kung Fu, nor is it an eclectic assortment of different martial art styles and various techniques strung together to create some sort of generalized "mixed martial art" system. Quite the contrary, Jeet Kune Do is rational, well thought-out, dynamic program of "TOTAL" martial art training for self-defense and fitness that is designed to develop every facet of your combative arsenal, and encompasses all facets of unarmed combat training including:

Footwork
Striking
Stand up Grappling
Ground Grappling
Self Defense skills against both armed and unarmed attacks

From a self-defense standpoint, Jeet Kune Do offers you practical solutions to "real world" problems. Everything a student learns has immediate and effective self-defense application. But Jeet Kune Do is much more than simply a devastating martial art. It's an all encompassing philosophy to living your life at the pinnacle of developed potential!

Providing a superior method of total fitness,
self-defense and peace of mind.
